- Location 10 villages in Pu Luong Natural Reserve, Ba Thuoc district, Thanh Hoa province
Improve the living conditions & economic empowerment of Thai/Muong ethnic minority women while mitigating impacts on biodiversity in Pu Luong Natural Reserve through sustainable tourism services & agricultural activities. Key activities:
1/ Create environmental leaders to raise awareness on biodiversity protection & climate change mitigation (Capacity building, development of goods practices)
2/ Strengthen a women-led group of key farmers in promoting market linkages & piloting online shop (Management, customer identification, pricing & sales strategies) for local agricultural products (Sticky rice, bamboo, fermented tea, dried mandarin skins) to foster environment-friendly production practices
3/ Support ethnic minority women's cooperation groups on sustainable tourism services in the Reserve (Homestay, cultural experience, etc)
4/ Improve income generation from cultivated non-timber forest products as incentives to reduce exploitation of similar wild plants (Medicinal herbs).
