Vietnam: Empowering minority women for the sustainable management of a natural reserve

  • Location 5 communes & 31 villages in the zones of Pu Luong Natural Reserve

Improve the living conditions & empowerment of Thai & Muong ethnic minority women through the development of sustainable tourism services & agricultural activities, while ensuring forest conservation of the Reserve. Goal to: 

1/ Support cooperative groups of women to provide sustainable tourism services (Homestay services, motorbike taxi service, local tour guide, new trekking routes based on conservation & indigenous culture)

2/ Develop sustainable agricultural value chains carried out by women (Chicken raising, vegetables, etc)

3/ Behavior change promotion on gender equality, environmental protection & responsible tourism (Trainings on relevant skills, campaigns & dissemination of good practices).
