Project to improve the Serantes Mountain environment by planting 500 trees of native species. The area is widely frequented by hikers & families but suffers from climate change, deforestation, invasive plants disrupting the local ecosystem & soil quality loss. 

The goal is to collaborate with the Town Council on environmental development, schools for children participation & people at risk of social exclusion for employment purpose. Key activities:

1/ Organize biodiversity workshops in schools and excursions to Serantes Mountain to identify/discriminate endemic/foreign species

2/ Build vermicompost out of households' garbage for reforestation use, and organize workshops for students to learn how to compost

3/ Turn significant waste from packaging (Pallets from Alstom Trapaga) into wooden structures to be used as tree sapling protection

4/ Select resilient local tree species & implement participative plantations

5/ Provide a 25h-course on environment & career guidance for skilling people.
