Typhoon Odette (Dec. 2021) has severely affected 9.9 M people and devastated lands & livelihoods of coastal fishing communities.

The project aims to support population & wildlife recovery through:

  • Repairing houses
  • Providing hygiene kits & solar lighting for households in need to restart businesses
  • Recycling fishing-net
  • Protecting marine areas
  • Repairing non-motorised boats for seaweed farmers
  • Establishing revolving funds for farmers to secure new seaweed seedlings for planting out
  • Replacing marine marker buoys & signage
  • Repairing guard houses for marine & coastal protection areas 9/ Assess mangrove & habitats, restore/plant to strengthen coastal defenses against future storms.
