Populations of La Ensenada slum (Lima) face many challenges: Extreme poverty, no access to formal jobs or transportation. The situation has worsened with the pandemic & climate change. This project aims to replicate the success of Los Jazmines in new communities by:
1/ Train 10 women to develop new green spaces
2/ Build 2 alleys to enhance mobility & enable evacuation in case of earthquake
3/ Develop a 40 m² park
4/ Prepare the development of 13,000m² of future parks
5/ Enhance existing green spaces (100 families to be in charge of garden maintenance, 100 children to restore health trails, attend environment courses & create guided tour of existing parks)
6/ Develop existing handicraft workshop
7/ Empower women & children through literacy & pastry courses, homework assistance
8/ Build 20 m of supporting walls & strengthen 20 m of public road.
