The Lunita de Paita school, located in a dusty favela of Paita, Peru, was first supported by the Alstom Foundation back in 2012. Now the new project aims to extend the built facilities of the Fundacion Harena-run pre-school to increase its educational capacity and environmental awareness. For that, Fundacion Harena will construct two new classrooms to meet growing demand, expand the fence to the new area provided by the local authorities, improve the irrigation system in the area of newly planted trees, and build a greenhouse of 211 m² and a pergola in the school playground.
