Objective: reduce electrical reliance with local wind energy 

A wind energy project was planned to reduce reliance by rural North Korean farmers on electricity from the national grid: stand-alone wind energy supply.

Alstom trained as many as 200 local specialists on how to manufacture, install and maintain stand-alone wind energy systems to provide energy to dairies and for agriculture purposes. Cost efficient and easy to maintain, these systems will be erected in rural areas.
