The Partner NGO works in railway stations to identify & protect children who arrive alone and in danger, to prevent them from falling into the streets. Already active in 8 railway stations across 6 states, RCI wants to expand its work to Delhi Sarai Rohilla & Delhi Cantonment Railway Stations and support children living in 4 slum communities around these stations through:
- 24/7 Child Help Desk (Necessary assistance for children vital needs), support to reunified children (School re-enrollment, counseling, linkage to vocational training, nutrition, healthcare & detoxification support, job skills), training & sensitisation of railway authorities & wider station community
- In slum communities: Development of skills for children regarding school & employability (Monitoring, counseling), psychological support activity (Also for parents)
- Prevention & sensitisation on child protection (Training for volunteers).
