In the Bangalore region, near an Alstom site, this project aims to address the lack of education in poor communities, the lack of environmental awareness, and the lack of opportunities for women to earn a decent wage (leading to their children being used for child labour). The programme includes tree planting, helping women, widows and disabled persons to set up small businesses, as well as helping children to get access to basic education.
