Hungary: Empowering Future Workforce in Mátranovák - STEAM Education & Makerspaces for Underprivileged Youth

Some schools in Mátranovák region serve communities facing systemic poverty, low educational means/outcomes & limited career prospects. The project aims to equip 4 secondary schools with STEAM infrastructure & hands-on curriculum, for students to develop skills in 3D design, programming & environmental innovation. Key activities:

1/ Fully equip spaces (3D printers, laser cutters, PCs, microcontrollers, STEAM curriculum packages & starter kits)

2/ Train teachers (Methodology to develop STEAM, EdTech tools, guides & workshops)

3/ Deploy STEAM sessions covering hard (3D design, AI, coding, robotics) & soft skills

4/ Engage students through story-based learning & roleplay

5/ Connect curriculum to real-life manufacturing & engineering careers (Guidance, site visits)

6/ Inclusion in technology with classroom environments able to increase gender & social integration.
