France: Lil’Ô project strengthens biodiversity in the urban environment

  • Status

    Ongoing

  • Location France

Lil'Ô project aims to reduce unemployment due to integration paths and creation of new sectors, strengthening biodiversity on a former industrial wasteland through soil work and promoting activities developed on site and biodiversity through popular education and open days.

The new phase of this project will focus on:

  • Design and construction (reusing materials such as maritime containers) of a horticultural laboratory to welcome employees on the integration programme as activities and number of people have increased.
  • Design and construction of an open-air café to welcome inhabitants and become an educational support regarding the use of natural resources and preservation of biodiversity.
  • Design of a rainwater harvesting pond and an irrigation system.
