China: Make it Work Hong Kong

  • Status

    Project completed

  • Location Hong Kong

The project aims to empower low-income women workers in Hong Kong by providing training, better job opportunities and lifting them out of the poverty cycle. This project assists poor working women in three ways:

  • Alleviates their budget and enables them to eat in a healthier manner;
  • Helps them network with social workers, reinforcing professional skills and restoring self-esteem, increasing their chance of finding higher paid jobs;
  • Provides them with a place to exchange with their peers and thus helps them avoid social isolation.
