  • Status

    Ongoing

  • Location Egypt

Pioneers for the Future is now in its 2nd phase of a training and employment project for women from disadvantaged areas in Cairo, Port Said and Louxor. The project's aim is to empower young women socio-economically through capacity building. This will include information sessions and outreach campaigns to mobilise and select young women for wage employment, career counselling, soft and life skills trainings and greater access to decent work.

It will also improve the work environment for young women by strengthening gender-supportive policies and practices amongst targeted public authorities, the private sector and civil society. It will provide tools to communicate about gender equality at work, training of trainers to project staff on the gender equality guide for companies, dissemination and more.
